GAIA AP Regional meeting day 4: Anti-incineration session

  Anti-incineration Program will discuss the landscape of financing in Waste-to-Energy incineration in the region. International Financial Institutions are obligated to support resources for climate action and sustainable development. Yet, we are seeing that these new funds include false, harmful, and costly solutions to waste and climate change in the guise of ”net-zero”, “circularity” and “marine litter”. An understanding of the financing trends can help solidify the strategy for climate activists and communities in responding to the continued investments of IFIs on false solutions.  “Cutting out the financing source of waste incineration”.
